LEXINGTON, S.C. – Lexington County Sherriff Jay Koon is pleased to announce the following promotions and transfers.
Kevin Blackmon has been promoted to captain of the Lexington County Detention Center. Blackmon previously worked as a lieutenant in patrol. He has served the county since 2004.
Brian Burrell has transferred to sergeant in Property Crimes. Burrell previously work as a sergeant in patrol. He has served the county since 2010.
Arcadeus DuBard has been promoted to sergeant in patrol. DuBard previously worked as an investigator in the Major Crimes Unit. He has served the county since 2015.
Brenda Snelgrove has been promoted to sergeant in Crime Scene Investigations. Snelgrove previously worked as a crime scene investigator. She has served the county since 2015.
Jamie Gwyn has been promoted to investigator in Property Crimes. Gwyn previously worked as resident deputy. She has served the county since 2005.
Craig Finley has transferred to investigator in the Crime Reduction Unit. Finley previously worked as an investigator. He has served the county since 2013.
Kevin Baum has transferred to investigator in the Major Crimes Unit. Baum previously worked as a master deputy in patrol. He has served the county since 2015.
Brandon Kinder has been promoted to a master deputy in patrol. Kinder previously worked as a field training officer in patrol. He has served the county since 2018.
Benjamin Strait has been promoted to a field training officer in patrol. Strait previously worked as a patrol deputy. He has served the county since 2016.
Gaven Small has been promoted to a field training officer in patrol. Small previously worked as a patrol deputy. He has served the county since 2018.
Christopher Threatt has been promoted to a field training officer in patrol. Threatt previously worked as a patrol deputy. He has served the county since 2019.
Barry Newell has transferred to front desk specialist in the Lexington County Detention Center. Newell previously worked as a correctional officer. He has served the county since 2015.
