Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon recently promoted five deputies and four correctional officers.
Reggie Lighty, 39, has been promoted to field training officer in the Lexington County Detention Center. Lighty, a resident of Columbia, previously served as a correctional officer. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in April 2014.
Hayli Livingston, 29, has been promoted to criminal investigator. Livingston, a resident of Prosperity, previously served as a patrol deputy in the department’s north patrol region, which is based near Irmo. She was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in January 2015.
Joshua Skeen, 39, has been promoted to criminal investigator. Skeen, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a master deputy in the department’s north patrol region, which is based near Irmo. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in September 2013.
Thomas Smith, 39, has been promoted to field training officer. Smith, a resident of Irmo, previously served as a patrol deputy in the department’s north patrol region, which is based near Irmo. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in December 2013.
Adam Spires, 38, has been promoted to sergeant. Spires, a resident of Lexington, previously served as resident deputy in the department’s north patrol region, which is based near Irmo. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in November of 2012.
Edna Taylor, 56, has been promoted to master correctional officer in the Lexington County Detention Center. Taylor, a resident of Camden, previously served as a field training officer. She was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in January 2013.
Preston Thomas, 32, has been promoted to field training officer in the Lexington County Detention Center. Thomas, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a correctional officer. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in August 2012.
Michael Waters, 64, has been promoted to master correctional officer in the Lexington County Detention Center. Waters, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a correctional officer. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in April 2012.
Van Williams, 38, has been promoted to field training officer. Williams, a resident of North Augusta, previously served as a patrol deputy in the department’s south patrol region, which is based near Pelion. He was appointed to serve as deputy sheriff in October 2014.
