LEXINGTON, S.C. – Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon is pleased to announce the following promotions and transfers.

Nicholas Ferrara has been promoted to project coordinator in finance. He previously worked as an accounting clerk in finance. He has been serving the county since 2018.

Krista Herzog has been promoted to finance division manager. Herzog previously worked as a project manager in finance. She has been serving the county since 2022.

Larry Lacy has been promoted to field training officer in detention. Lacy previously worked as a detention deputy. He has been serving the county since 2022.

Kirby McClendon has been promoted to finance division administrator. McClendon previously worked as the department’s finance division manager. He has been serving the county since 2015.

Catherine Murray has been promoted to field training officer in detention. Murray previously worked as a detention deputy. She has been serving the county since 2022.

Christopher Perry has been promoted to field training officer in detention. Perry previously worked as a detention deputy. He has been serving the county since 2023.

Ariel Rios transferred to resident deputy in Red Bank. Rios previously worked as a field training officer in patrol. He has been serving the county since 2020.

Jacob Roland has been promoted to field training officer in detention. Roland previously worked as a detention deputy. He has been serving the county since 2023.

Justin Roland has been promoted to field training officer in detention. Roland previously worked as a detention deputy. He has been serving the county since 2022.

Peter Ruiz transferred to resident deputy in Irmo. Ruiz previously worked as a field training officer in patrol. He has been serving the county since 2021.

John Sanders has been promoted to school resource officer. Sanders previously worked as a patrol deputy. He has been serving the county since 2023.

Stephen Sperbeck has been promoted to master deputy in patrol. Sperbeck previously worked as a field training officer in patrol. He has been serving the county since 2020.

Adrian Zona has transferred to an investigator in the Narcotics Unit. Zona previously worked as master deputy in patrol. He has been serving the county since 2017.
