Citizens now can schedule visits with all inmates at the Lexington County Detention Center by visiting https://icsolutions.com. You can choose to visit on-site or schedule a visit from the convenience of your own home, using the video visitation system.
Please be aware that an inmate can refuse to see any visitor.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time for your visit in order to be registered in a timely manner. If you arrive at the exact time of your visit, please be prepared to wait as there are limited visitation spaces and processing requires time. Only two adults will be allowed to visit an inmate at one time and children under the age of 12 are not allowed to visit. Any child who is between the ages of 12 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult and must remain under the adult’s supervision at all times. Children who are age 11 and younger can visit with an inmate from their home, using the video visitation system.
Visitors must wear proper attire that conforms to reasonable standards. Short shorts, short skirts, bathing suits and tank tops or excessively tight or revealing clothing is considered to be inappropriate attire. Shoes and shirts are required. The visitation officer has the authority to deny a visit with an inmate if the visitor is wearing inappropriate attire. Smoking is not permitted inside the Detention Center and visitation area. In addition, food, beverages and cell phones are not permitted in the visitation area.
Visitors can be denied visitation privileges for any of the following reasons:
- The visitor is not on the inmate’s approved visitation list.
- The visitor violates Detention Center rules.
- The visitor exhibits disruptive conduct or behavior.
- The visitor is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- There is insufficient space for visitation.
- Visitation would place the visitor’s health at risk.
- The visit would pose a reasonable threat to the safety or security of other inmates, employees or the community.
- Former inmates must wait six months after their release from the Detention Center in order to be eligible to visit another inmate who currently is being housed at the facility.
Inmates who currently are on disciplinary confinement status are only permitted remote visitation on Wednesdays and Fridays, between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Visits with inmate workers are scheduled by the visitor either at the Detention Center at the visitation kiosks or online at https://icsolutions.com.
Official visitors (attorneys) must present proper photo identification and professional identification prior to any visit.

Chaplains with the Detention Center Chaplain Corps visit inmates on a regular basis, providing religious services and spiritual guidance to inmates of Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and Unitarian faiths as well as to inmates of other world religions. Chaplains are permitted to visit inmates during normal visitation hours.
All visitors and their property are subject to being searched by Detention Center staff. Visitors who do not comply with a search request will not be allowed to visit an inmate. Visitors who attempt to bring contraband into the facility are subject to arrest. Food, beverages, personal property, money, drugs and weapons cannot be provided to inmates. The aforementioned items and other unauthorized items that are found on an inmate will be considered contraband, and the inmate can be charged with a crime and the inmate’s visitation privileges can be revoked.
Visitors can bring identification cards and keys into the visitation area. However, correctional officers can require that other personal property be returned to the visitor’s motor vehicle before officers allow the visitor to see an inmate. Purses, cell phones and recording devices are not allowed in the facility. Detention Center employees will not accept clothing or personal property for inmates and will not hold visitors’ property during visitation.
