LEXINGTON, S.C. – Lexington County deputies along with U.S. Marshals arrested a man and a woman Thursday afternoon in connection to a 2022 deadly shooting. Deputies are trying to locate one more suspect.
Chendric Jawan Brown, 25, is charged with one count of murder and one count of conspiracy and London Ja’Kia Oliver, 26, is charged with one count of conspiracy and one count of accessory before the fact, according to arrest warrants.
Ziyon Ta’hib McKnight, 24, is wanted on one count of murder and one count of conspiracy, according to arrest warrants.
“In September 2022, investigators were notified by the South Congaree Police Department about a car on Edmund Highway with two passengers who appeared to have been shot,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “One passenger was transported to a local hospital where they were treated for injuries and later released.”
Harold Lord Peak III, 22, died of multiple gunshot wounds at the scene, according to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher.
During the investigation, detectives determined that Oliver led Brown and McKnight to the victims’ location where they waited for the victims to leave and shot them while they were driving by, said Koon.
Brown and Oliver were arrested Thursday afternoon and are being held in the Lexington County Detention Center after a magistrate judge denied bond.
Detectives are trying to locate McKnight. If you see him or know where he is, please call 911.
