LEXINGTON, S.C. – Lexington County deputies have arrested a man accused of spray-painting numerous cars Wednesday.
Daniel Lee Ennis, 31, is being held in the Lexington County Detention Center after deputies found him with white spray paint on his hands and shoes during a follow-up investigation into the vandalism of numerous cars in Red Bank.
“Based on the work of deputies throughout some Nazareth Road neighborhoods Wednesday, we’ve connected Ennis to more than 30 vandalism cases that happened early Wednesday morning,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “All the vehicles were painted with white spray paint on various parts and body panels.”
Deputies encountered Ennis panhandling near an Interstate 20 exit Wednesday evening, according to Koon.
“Ennis was booked into the detention center on an unauthorized soliciting charge,” Koon said. “Charges for the car vandalisms are forthcoming.”
