Agents of the State Law Enforcement Division have arrested a former Lexington County deputy and a former Columbia Metropolitan Airport Department of Public Safety officer in connection with the removal of items from a shed at a Lexington County residence.
After conducting a court-ordered eviction in February, former deputy Willie Womble, 36, instructed Jesse Gregg Moore, 27, to remove items related to the eviction process, according to an arrest warrant.
Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon terminated Womble on May 24, 2016. Womble is charged with misconduct in office.
Moore is charged with petit larceny in connection with the case.
Both former officers were arrested Wednesday, booked into the Lexington County Detention Center and released on personal recognizance bonds.
