Lexington County detectives are investigating the theft of $250,000 worth of boat motors from a Lake Murray marine dealership.
Investigators said someone broke into the lot at Captain’s Choice Marine on Highway 378 about 2:20 Sunday morning and stole more than a dozen Yamaha outboard motors like the ones pictured to the left.
Surveillance video cameras captured images of a white van in the dealership’s lot. Investigators are reviewing the footage to determine more information about the white van and the suspects who can be seen loading motors into the vehicle.
Detectives urged anyone with security cameras near Captain’s Choice Marine to review footage from midnight until 4 a.m. Sunday for any shots of large white passenger vans or any other suspicious activity.
