The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department will hold its “Scrappin’ with the Law” fundraiser June 17-18.
The scrapbooking event will be held in the Sheriff’s Department’s training center on Gibson Road in Lexington between 1 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday, June 17 and 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday June 18. All proceeds will benefit Law Enforcement Explorer Post 106.
“This event makes it possible for our Explorer cadets to participate in statewide law enforcement competitions as well as pay for equipment and training,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “Explorers are a valuable resource to us and a number of our current deputies came up through the program.”
The donation/registration fee is $50 per person, which includes lunch, dinner, goodie bags and door prizes. Checks should be made payable to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Foundation.
