A Gaston man is facing two charges from a domestic dispute that prompted a SWAT response at his house Monday afternoon.
Terry Lawrence Jordan Jr. is charged with domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and kidnapping, according to arrest warrants.
“Based on our investigation, Jordan severely beat a female victim as she was trying to get away from him and his Manor Drive home,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “He prevented her from leaving and then threatened to hit her with a tool.”
The victim was treated and released from a local hospital Monday, according to Koon.
Deputies surrounded Jordan’s home for hours Monday afternoon but investigators believe he got away sometime between the domestic dispute and the response to his home.
“We feel like someone, perhaps quite a number of people, know exactly where Jordan is,” Koon said. “We want to hear from them and we’d like their help in bringing Jordan to justice.”
Koon said anyone with information on Jordan’s location should call Crimestoppers at 888-CRIME-SC. Information can also be shared by texting “TIPSC” along with your message to CRIMES (274637).
Tipsters don’t have to share their name with Crimestoppers and they could become eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 if the information they provide leads to an arrest.
