Two Lexington County teens have been charged with multiple counts of vandalism after damaging at least a dozen cars Friday and Saturday nights by throwing rocks onto Highway 321.
“A 15-year-old Gaston boy and a 16-year-old West Columbia boy were arrested Saturday night near the intersection of Highway 321 and Wilbur Road,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “A deputy apprehended the suspects as they fled from a nearby business, which they’ve also been charged with burglarizing.”
According to Koon, both teens were transported to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice. Because they’re both under 17, their names will not be released.
“These incidents are still under investigation,” Koon said. “We encourage anyone who might be able to share more information with us to call Crimestoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.”
